Kathleen M. Ewing, CRM – Senior Consultant
Kathleen Ewing has more than 20 years of business and legal experience with demonstrated expertise in records management for highly regulated industries. Her specialties include work process improvement, policy and procedure development, software design and training, worldwide document management project participation, and records center operations.
As Records Management Supervisor for ARCO Chemical Company /Lyondell, Ms. Ewing served as an internal Records Management consultant to an international project team that developed a worldwide document management system. Her insight into the challenges and considerations for compliance with company policy in preservation of electronic information proved invaluable to the project’s success. In addition, Ms. Ewing identified criteria to restrict access to confidential information stored within the system. She was also involved in the selection of a records management software system (iRIMS) for integration with the enterprise’s document management system (Documentum).
Ms. Ewing has developed policy and procedures for preservation and disposition of records and information in compliance with local state and federal laws and regulations. She has produced and revised records management programs, including manuals to be used as reference tools for employees at all levels within the company.
Her experience with software design and training includes devising forms and database layout for capture of inventory data, along with instructions and training programs for all users. Her most recent experience includes working with financial services firms, municipal government and pharmaceutical companies in assessing their current records management programs, devising records classification schemes, developing retention schedules and providing training to users of Records Management software.
Ms. Ewing is a paralegal and a Certified Records Manager.
